Using WinKawaks' tile viewer, I found sprites(and not just still images, but complete animation sets as well) for a pair of large enemies that I have never seen in-game. Considering their size, I concluded that they must be unused bosses. Their palettes are also located towards the end of the palette data as well, further suggesting that they're unused.

The first unused boss is a "flying wing" aircraft. This one is clearly a beta version of Spriggan.
The other one is a snowman(and I am being dead serious). Tenukie probably replaced this one.
