	It wasn't a stylistic choice, it was an engine limitation. The NGPC simply couldn't handle sprites that had that many colors, despite its colorful backgrounds.

	Considering a lot of the NGPC games (mainly fighting ones) had sprites with only 1 color + black and white, they probably wanted to go for that same style.

	Wonder why these sprites have less colors than their NES counterparts. Yes, I know the faces and whatnot on the NES are separate sprites, but still.
