But to be more specific, Blaster Master Zero is a reboot by Inti Creates (who are the old Mega Man X team that also made the Zero and ZX games, along with Mega Man 9 and 10, plus their own IPs like Gunvolt) that combines the Japanese and English stories while fleshing out the game world and lore much further. Jason got dramatically redesigned to look less like the Excitebike racer and more like Zero, and SOPHIA-III got reworked to look more futuristic.

This has like 6 sequels, one on the Genesis, one on Gameboy, another on Gameboy Color, one on PS1, a Wiiware title and Zero.

@Super Phanto Wait this got a sequel? Also, I think this is one of those games where the translators tried to change the story COMPLETELY, which could lead to some more confusion in that regard...
