Granted, it MAY have inspiration, but not necessarily. A lot of ideas I've had for games and characters over the years have been much later used in actual games, like for instance Yooka-Laylee (taking place in a book where collecting pages expands the hub world) or Bendy and the Ink Machine (blob monster made of ink takes on the appearance of 1930s-era toon). Coincidences happen, especially with easy conclusions to a basic idea. |
