While the Barrier does exist in the Legacy Console Editions of Minecraft, the barrier seen here is NOT "minecraft:barrier". The actual barrier texture directs to terrain.png. The barrier sprite here is actually a debug item called "minecraft:fourj_debug_item", and you can actually obtain this with inventory editing. Unfortunately, it seems that any functionality that it had was stripped from the retail updates, but it's still cool I guess. It also happens to share a numerical ID with Java Edition's "debug stick" (2255), credit to my buddy PhoenixARC for the ID coincidence discovery. Edit: So I stand corrected! Shoutout to my buddy Pirlo for this. Turns out it apparently updates an entity's PersistenceRequired value to true when interacted with an entity, which stops an entity from despawning naturally |

They've never appeared in any other edition or version of the game, so I'd have to imagine that they were intended for some console exclusive feature or something. Regardless of whatever it was used for, it only ever appeared in this build, and if this build had never leaked, we would have no idea that it ever existed! EDIT 11/30/25: I'm silly lol, these say "CLK" for Clock and "CMPS" for Compass. This is just where the game held the placeholder sprites for the animated textures before eventually being moved to their final spot in a later build of the game to align with Java Edition lol. |

I just never liked how much Rouxls stands out from every other darkner I also like how fluffier and thicker his hair looks here too |

Which is funny cuz THEY ARE used in one of cutscenes in chapter 2 but I cannot remember which (if I recall correctly it's maybe in that one cutscenes in Noelle's room?) Still weird to not make those the default battle sprites for that chapter onwards. |

A lot of early sprite rips were either designed for sprite comics or were captured from an emulator by removing the layers. The idea of putting them in boxes and listing them by their animation was a rarity (mainly fighting games/beat em ups but some rippers did put in the effort even in the early days). Probably also the ripper might have merged the various Mario & Luigi sheets together or each section was ripped at different times. It seems the Frog Suit and Cape do match in terms of animation order. |
