I just remembered something: Since this (along with other studios like Wisdom Tree), got their games on the NES without the seal of quality, is it right to call it a bootleg lumping it alongside actual bootlegs, like Harry's Legend? |
Jun 29, 2017, 2:03 PM | SonicHex | Sheet: Monitors (Sonic 2-Style, Expanded) |
@beanluv,it's assigned to a monitor ID the id is useless |

Nevermind, just found out there is a Super Mario RPG section now. |
Jun 29, 2017, 9:44 AM | tent2 | Game: Mario Customs |
Wasn't there a custom Smithy on this page before? Call me crazy, but I swear I remember Smithy being here. |

Jun 28, 2017, 10:54 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Cutscenes |
It honestly looks more like a Droideka than a Transformer anyways. |
Jun 28, 2017, 10:05 PM | Deep Weeb | Sheet: Cutscenes |
@beanluv It's not a Transformer. It appeared in the very first Ben 10 episode. |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:35 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Mario |
Aren't these just Mario & Wario sprites? Then again, many bootlegs for 8-bit systems just use the SMB3 sprites, so not all that surprising, but an odd choice of source... |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:29 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Air & Countdown Bubbles |
@Beanluv That's under Items & Objects. Now please calm the heck down. |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:20 PM | Void-the-Bat | Game: Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Pool of Radiance |
The odd thing is that one of the speakers at my older brother's graduation ceremony began rambling on trying to make comparisons to the game and school. I don't understand why, but... |

I JUST WANTED THAT GOD DAMN AIR BUBBLE!! |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:16 PM | Void-the-Bat | Game: Mario 4: Space Odyssey (Bootleg) |
I regret doing my own adaptations of the cutscenes. |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:15 PM | Void-the-Bat | Sheet: Intro |
Really? Here we go. Now I regret nothing. "Mario and Luigi were gazing up at the sky that is DEFINITELY USING THE BIG STEELY PALETTE FROM SUPER MARIO WORLD." "They saw a shooting star fall from the oddly colored sky into the hills on Yoshi's Island. They went to check out." "Little did they know it wasn a shooting star, it was a luam that came to inform of Sonic 3 Special Stage-ish observeatory being destroyed." "Then Mario, he went off on an adventure to save the world from burning like hteres no fucking tomorow." |

Oh hey, Clyde's normal. |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:11 PM | Void-the-Bat | Sheet: Game Over Screens & Ending |
Again, same thing, beating a dead horse. Now I regret everything. "Mario was brutally humped by a Blooper and had his insides torn out by a Pihran Plant." ENDING "Mario got the Shroob UFOs to go away by yelling insults about how they're just sprites placed in game with no effort in change" "Mario saved the day and the stolen Bowser's Inside Story styled castle was saved at last." This better be the last of them. |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:08 PM | Void-the-Bat | Sheet: Intro |
My own 100% inaccurate and stupid translation of this. I STILL regret doing this. "An unoriginal idea in the form of a storm cloud appeared at some point, attacking the castle... Mario noticed and went to check it out." "-Mario & Luigi styled Toad, what happened? -Stock Art Mario, it's terrible! Princess Toadshit has kidnapped by War..." |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:03 PM | Void-the-Bat | Sheet: Title Screen and Game Over Screen |
Here comes my own variant of the game over screen. I still regret doing this. "Ben had died and was buried later, soon to be gone forever. There was still a chance to save the world, even after death. You didn't take that chance." |
Jun 28, 2017, 8:00 PM | Void-the-Bat | Game: Pac-Men |
Pac-Man Nightmare Edition |
Jun 28, 2017, 7:59 PM | Void-the-Bat | Sheet: Cutscenes |
I'm gonna try and translate this based on the images... I'm gonna regret this especially since I never watched much of Ben 10... "Ben and his family were on their way to the woods, to have a family picnic" "Ben arrived, he suddenly noticed something on the picnic table. It was a photo." "A huge robot alien (that definitely does not look like a Transformer) has been attacking the woods, for some reason, Ben had to fight this alien. He had to protect his family." "If Ben didn't destroy the alien robot in time, the Earth would crash into Mercury destroying it." I honestly don't know why I did that. I was bored. |
Jun 28, 2017, 7:36 PM | Flophawk | Game: Super Mario World |
I put quotations around Transparent for a reason. I meant the water tiles that give the illusion of transparency by having a checkered pattern of solid pixels and blank pixels |
Jun 28, 2017, 7:05 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: EarthBound Beginnings (Prototype) / Mother (JPN) |
@Raimbowyosh123 When it was planned to be released in the US as "Earth Bound" before being canned, it had a prototype version. It was eventually in the US again released 20-some years later, again renamed, this time as "Earthbound Beginnings." |

Jun 28, 2017, 2:19 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link |
@Ton Nope, there's no Moblin sprites, Helmethead's incomplete, and Geldarm is also incomplete. The Old Man is missing the "casting" pose. The Beach encounter background and Graveyard encounter background haven't been ripped. There could be more missing, but I'm not exactly in the position to make requests. |

So nearly everybody from Gen 1 and 2? Hey, I'm not complaining, after all, it includes Jessie and James. |
Jun 27, 2017, 9:40 PM | tent2 | Game: Kirby Customs |
Well, that's technically a Edited spritesheet, which is okay, i'm pretty sure. |

Problem with Paint.net is that you have to finagle for a bit to work with layers. And it still works just fine with colored backgrounds if you use the wand tool in it. But the best part about MS Paint is that it's seemingly one of the only programs that lets you easily change the color of individual pixels without any grabbing or gradual color changes instead of instant. For simple graphics like this? Simple MS Paint is the way to go, most definitely. Paint.net or Photoshop would be best suited for graphics from, say, the Nintendo 64 or DS. |

not the kind of conversation I was expecting to see looking at RollerCoaster Tycoon XD |
Jun 27, 2017, 7:46 PM | JamminJelly | Sheet: General Sprites |
Paste it into a different program like paint.net, play around for 10 seconds to figure out how to add a background, then copy paste it into MS Paint. Transparency is more convenient for people who use anything other than MS Paint. |
Jun 27, 2017, 7:16 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: General Sprites |
The problem with doing that is that it messes up how well it can be used with MS Paint, which many hobbyist spriters (myself included) use. |
