I get that there's so many combinations for making sonic ocs and fcs, but just plainly recoloring them is just basically lousy. Also, I understand how you feel about the Sonic Advance/ Battle sprites being clashed up with Genesis sprites, especially in crappy flash games, I don't know why people can't just use the genesis sprites IN THE FIRST PLACE instead of clashing them with the advance sprites. Also, the genesis sprites I think have more detail, and better shading, and the originals are classic sonic characters. I like classic sonic better than modern sonic (but i like modern though... except modern amy. I also like Patafoin because he uses the genesis and mania sprites instead of the advance sprites) The only time I don't mind the advance style being used is in Super Mario Bros Z (although I wish he used the genesis sprites) |

| Jun 14, 2020 5:48 AM * | Dolphman | Game: Sonic Advance | @DogToon64. You're not alone. I'm well known for hating it, and it's only because of being overused back when the rips were new. The biggest complaint is the amount of bad edits and recolours that plague DeviantArt, and how fangame projects would have Advance sprites but Genesis/32X sprites as well, causing a lot of horrible art style clashing. (None of them were ever completed) Modern Genesis sprites have been attempted but sadly never finished. (ModGen was due to incompetence, and other things) Only person who's came close to bring out a more finished Modern Sonic is Hortinus with his brilliant Mania mods. I also made Genesis conversions of the Badniks for every game in the trilogy and are hosted here. |

So you guys support Black Lives Matter? Excellent! It really is! Mad love for all the donations and support. However, the fact is, you KNEW this community toxic as hell. It's full of bigots, sexists, and of course, racists. It's a gaming community. It comes with the territory. You knew that, and you handled it the ABSOLUTE WORST WAY POSSIBLE. There are a million ways to handle an unruly comments section, and engaging, arguing, and insulting like a five year old is pretty much the stupidest thing you could do. I recall a few pages back, Dazz said something like he never grew up since he started the site. And this is a good thing.....why? If there's EVER a time to strive to be taken seriously and professionally, it's when people's lives are at stake. You're no longer the admins and mods of a crappy community, you are now a part of a once-in-a-century movement. Again, mad love for the support and solidarity, but if this is the way you guys act out in the real world, then please PLEASE don't show up to a protest. You'll just make things worse. Unless you're actually willing to grow up. |
