I imagine they just thought "we wanted two guys carrying him up" and they already had graphics for Mario, and/or thought it wouldn't look as good if there was a different character used just for the intro. |

@thejohnston7 They are split. Court is on Background layer 1 while Toads and nets are on Background layer 2. The issue with ripping it via a Map Viewer is that the Toads have a black background that may affect the sprites. This is a very old rip from 2008 as this thread shows. Back then ripping was often but not always taken from screenshots, capturing in other words. |

Ayyy! Looks like I'm inspiring people! I was actually thinking of doing a Game Gear Monitor of my own, but looks like I was beaten to the punch there! Though I think the title of the submission should be called "Game Gear Monitor (Sonic 1/2/CD-Style)" for consistency's sake, perhaps? The piece itself looks very gorgeous! You did incredibly well with what little space you had to work with on the icons - and here I thought the DS and Osborne 1 monitors were the smallest icons could possibly be! I couldn't be happier to have been proved wrong. You've only submitted two pieces so far, and yet already you're already a favourite for me! Keep up the excellent work! |
