@eviemaybe It's like that on the original sprite as well, only difference is that they have enough room for some subtle shading to indicate that he has a pupil there. I did consider changing the eye a bit so his pupil could be visible, but it just didn't look right to me.
really darned cool! i never saw any 8 bit pirate man sprites using this color..... though i don't know why his eyes are blank
