Fun Fact: Classic NES Super Mario Bros has the same tile map as the original game. They just take the higher tiles and squish it two pixels lower to create these sprites, which is why they look so funny. The only exception is piranha plant, most likely to avoid the yellow dots from being too close to each other. Even then, all they did was take the bottom row of pixels from the top tile out so..
