@Depressed Mario It would have been playable as the Game Boy series in most cases were region free. Very few copies left the US as the only places that would have stocked it were independent shops (not for this game but some games were e.g. early release of Pokemon Pinball) or if you were lucky, having the Internet and going on eBay.

The issue being in this case is that it is an educational game and would had to get localised, more so than most other games at the time. Language and words that people could understand. One of the characters is called Mailbox but is called Postbox in other English countries meaning that the M in the Alphabet book would have to change. I and T would also have to change as they are lost in translation outside the US and all of it would have to change in the other languages (also the Japanese version would end up being its own game due to different characters). Blue's Clues also had different presenters, the UK didn't get Steve but got Kevin. This is also why something like Wheel of Fortune wasn't released in the UK due to completely different hosts (and Family Feud would have to be changed to Family Fortunes, the irony is one of the games was programmed in the UK).

@Depressed Mario Unplayable unless you import it since the GameBoys were region free, though most back them from what I heard rarely did that outside of import shops I guess.

Anyone just now realize that Blue has two different shades when comparing to the thumbnail of this section and the Blue seen for the Game Select & Title Screen thumbnail?

Where's the sprites for Steve, Blue, Cutscenes, and others? We need to rip them!

it's a shame that the game never left america, making it unaplayable for european and japanese players
