("A Hidden Figure" is actually treated as a name for him, going by the JP script)

Why is "Rudy" marked with quotations. 100% sure that's his official name, at least in Dr. Mario 64.

Still not as horrifying as that one unused face ( https://tcrf.net/File:WL3-scaryface.png ), which apparently exists in the tiles for the temple. Because of how it looks and where the tiles are, I personally hypothesize that it was an intended "in-between" look, as in the game, he fades to black instead between the two forms, not to mention that it just looks like a transition between them. I made a note of that possibility on the MarioWiki and TCRF, and TVTropes seems to have picked it up from there.
