For anybody wondering what this is, the "Wide Boy" was a series of internal development devices created by Intelligent Systems for Nintendo. The purpose of the Wide Boy was simply to play Game Boy games on the TV, primarily for the purpose of making the capturing of footage easier. There were several different "Wide Boy" models, and some of the later ones for N64 even supported playing GBC and GBA games.
This particular one is the third revision of the device designed for the NES/Famicom, which included a snazzy little screen border (the earlier NES builds of the Wide Boy had no border whatsoever). I was able to rip that border thanks to a surviving Wide Boy-3 device which had its ROM dumped earlier this year.
No NES emulator is able to properly run the Wide Boy yet, as I don't believe any NES emulators properly support it, but with the screen border rip and the proper palette (which I've decided to display in the thumbnail images here), one could replicate how it could work by plugging the border and palette into a GB emulator like BGB.
