@XenoTriggerEevee in German, all nouns are written with a capital letter. English does with proper nouns like month names and languages, but German does it with all nouns. These types are nouns, so would be capitalised in the middle of a sentence in German.

However, German can still be written in full caps. So this doesn't explain why German is the only one not being full caps.

The German names use what you're considering proper capitalization because of the way their language works.

I wonder why the German versions have proper capitalization while the rest of the languages that uses Roman characters are in all caps. Brings back the days prior to Gen V when Pokémon names were still in all caps.
