It's a mobile operating system for Palm's handhelds from a time before smartphones. The oldest models had black-and-white screens like the original Game Boy, but still had a touch screen. They were incredibly popular for their time, and at the last models were more like what smartphones would start to become. Unfortunately, Apple's iPhone and the Android project killed off a lot of older mobile platforms...
