@MarkDevil: Ah, wouldn't have known that since Aqua Tunnel (where I could've tested it) was stripped out of the public v1.4 demos. I'll update the sheet with a corrected label sometime later.

At that point of her development, was she originally a rabbit? Her design kinda remain the same in the final but certain parts are changed.

She kinda reminds me of Terriermon from the Digimon series as she's a Basset Hound and he's a Digimon based on a Terrier (despite BOTH of their designs look rabbit-like instead of looking like a dog.)

She looks even more rabbit-like in the beta/prototype.

(Yes, I know she's supposed to be a dog, but she looks like a rabbit if you ask me, even in this prototype)

I've added the prototype HUD's sprites to the sprite sheet now, forgot all about that!

It's pretty obvious -- the hair and ears were redrawn, and shading was added.
