@SpaceHarrier64 I theorize that the unused music in the arcade labelled "lady" was gonna be used for that cutscene, and then the devs of the Famicom version tried to convert it but due to storage price and poor storage optimization, the process was stopped

Something that could support this theory is how Pacman (which both have common inspirations for their power ups) had Intermissions
So it only makes sense DK devs would try to implement something as such

If I'm being very honest, DK's defeat sprite is much better in here than arcade, in arcade he kept his same normal pose, his face was wackier but the restricted pose made him less expressive

No, they didn't. It seems these were newly made for the NES version.
