About that, why am I highlighting that part you said makes me depressed, as I realized this back in 2019 due to the series infamous reputation for the familiar purple dragon's design sorta prevents people who are knowledgeable of modifying and extracting game files won’t look into it from said series reputation.
(At least the games ain't a buggy mess as Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric or something feeling empty and somewhat problematic as Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, but I'm kinda derailing the thread here cause that's a different case of comparing Skylanders to Ghostly Adventures.)

Though, I shouldn't be assuming that some people who have such knowledge would be that biased from a character design preventing them from touching a game to look inside on how it works, but I hope someone out there would actually take a look…

I think the only way to rip the Skylanders models if there's any archived APK of the mobile games such as Lost Islands, Battlegrounds, the mobile versions of Trap Team and SuperChargers, Battlecast, and Ring of Heroes.

I wish i knew what to tell you, so far from what little info i can find theres only compatability for the original wii version( i dont own a wii u so i cant test it) i dont know about the Xbox and ps3 versions since i dont know any emulators or roms for them, i own the Xbox version of the 1st game and giants. Btw funfact: the 3DS version of the 1st skylanders was initaly going to be a console version port however they failed to get a consistant framerate, using the 6 months they had left they made their own story for it. Personally id love to get at the models the games use, youd think with a series thats 9 years old there would be some kind of utility or tool for them at this point. Im still waiting for a tool for opening DS and 3DS .PAK files (Which is what the 3ds version's models are) some games have their files disguised as a completely different format like Rune Factory 3 which disguised the models as .Bin files(which they actualy werent). Skylanders for 3DS also seems to do this, ive looked all over but i cant seem to find any tools for the job, il see if i can find anything for the wii u version but for now the most youl probably get is the sprites and textures. Sorry i couldnt be of more help.

@Eeveeloverthespriter8 Then how does the emulated Wii U versions of Giants, Swap Force, Trap Team, and SuperChargers work? I've found roms of those games from some rom site cause I'm planning to rip models from those games.

Initialy i was after the models themselves since ive amassed a large collection of skylanders from the first 2 games, however the format used for them is .arc and .bld which derailed that plan, not to mention from what i hear only the wii version is compatible with the usb portal which made me hunt down a save file online just to be able to play the 3ds version, but im at least glad i was able to rip something from the game. Thank god for Citra's texture dumper else i wouldnt have been able to do even this.
