@IAmAlsoOnRoblox, they used to be on here, they were removed as to not get into legal trouble with Nintendo. If you
really
need them asap, check The Cutting Room Floor's sub-subpage on the Pokemon from the GS 1997 Spaceworld prototype.

Flareon's Silver sprite looks like it's cross eyed.

I was today years old when I found out that Voltorb's sprite from Gold seems to be lifted from Blue, and tweak to match the new style

@CaptainGame17: That's the way it's always been, there's only a maximum of four colours used for Game Boy sprites -- background, color 1 (usually light gray), color 2 (usually dark gray) and black.

Uhh, the background color is the same as the white on some pokemon

Oh, I see.

@Serious Spriter: I'd assumed the palette thing due to the "animations for when they're encountered in the wild", since that's the only thing that's different for it in Gold/Silver.

FFFFFFFFFFFricc. I was right about only the crystal sprites having extra animations but everything else was wrong. I don't remember saying anything about the palette though. Now if you don't mind me, I'll go continuing my day as normal except I'll uncontrollable every now and then think of "I'm stupid for getting that easy fact wrong" which happens quite easily. Don't worry, I don't have some sorta depression it's just that sometimes when I get an "easy" thing wrong or I lose to an "easy" thing I feel stupid and that one self-hatred thought hangs around in the back of my head for a week at most.

@Serious Spriter:
...
Do you even realize how ridiculous you sound right now? There's nothing missing on this sheet. And have you somehow forgotten that Pokémon Silver has its own set of sprites, and that the second sets
AREN'T
from Crystal because they're from
Silver
?
Plus, I'm not adding every single palette possible to these, that's just tedious and pointless. Just use the palettes above each sprite and recolour them to match the "intro" palette supplied on the sheet if you really want the "wild" sprites.
Serious Spriter

Oh sh00t my bad: Only the Crystal sprites have the extra animations. Although what I said about removing the crystal sprites still apply.
Serious Spriter
Jun 20, 2018, 11:45 AM
Oh yeah, another thing I forgot: Shouldn't the Pokemon Crystal sprites be removed? It's supposed to be Pokemon Gold/Silver and therefore the Pokemon Crystal sprites belong in the Pokemon Crystal game section.

There are MANY missing sprites. Mostly and only the pokemon animations for when they're encountered in the wild. Keep in mind that the sheet style is 9001% A-Ok with the blue B.G. and the white surrounding the pokemon sprite. HOWEVER, due to the many missing sprites when you add them you either should: A. Split the sheets into the: 1-50, 51-100 etc. Or you can keep all the sprites in 1 sheet with the cost of for one MASSIVE sheet

@MollyChan: From what I've seen, they are identical to the Game Boy Color's palettes. It's mainly the maps that have unique, simplified palettes.

Don't the final versions of Gold and Silver have Super Game Boy palettes? Do the Pokemon have specific palettes in SGB mode?

Super thanks for adding in the sprites in the OG Game Boy color-scheme.
Also, I find it very interesting how Shiny Pokémon can still appear in Gold/Silver even if you play the games on the OG Game Boy.

WOAH! Nice re-rip! :D
Random Talking Bush
Jun 4, 2018, 10:12 PM
Wha-bam. Completely re-ripped now, and set up to match the layout of the prototype sprites I'd uploaded earlier.
The other sheets had a few issues like not having their proper bounding boxes (Unowns and back sprites), improper palettes (the shinies), and in one case was missing the shiny sprites entirely (also Unowns). Plus, Game Boy greyscaled palettes for completeness.
