@JonGandee Have recently started touching the section again with a few rips here and there but at this point, it's really down to the scraps in terms of the library (sports games, Japanese adventure games, shooters, shmups, puzzles, the 1 RPG and a couple of platformers).

Also as shadowman44 had said, the Master System has a smaller library and most of the big games have been ripped. Not counting games that might be on the Game Gear section here as many of the games were cross platform or in a couple of cases literally a Master System ROM in a Game Gear cartridge, there are only 4 games left for the US library and not counting Korean games (both original and literal MSX ports), about 26 games left and at least 3 prototypes that haven't been found (Die Hard 2, The Godfather and Robin Hood) as I believe Rad Mobile is lost media.

Has anyone bothered to rip the assets for whenever you start a new act
things like the Map of South Island, those little travel marks for each act, and eggman just cruising along on act 3/boss acts

The Master System section hasn't really been touched because most of the games have been done now. The SMS' library isn't as expansive as the Genesis' or the NES' ones. Unless I want to start submitting homebrews (I might in the future).

I believe the quote from SEGA was "We've lost the original prototype internally". Plus, if they were intending Sky Base for the Genesis, don't you think we would've seen it from the screenshots and scans that have been uploaded to the internet over the years?

Uh, no, Sky Base outright isn't in the Genesis version, in any way shape or form.

IMO, 16-bit was always better (mainly because of the physics) but 8-bit Master System Sonic is also good.


If you're talking about GAME GEAR, however, that SUCKS. (still in my opinion)
