	@Ton Hello again! Im afraid you didn't get the point with my reply last time. I was trying to tell you that Disney are not doing well since they switched to live action films thats been Disney's main focus during the late 2010s and the 2020s. While greed can be considered a issue among big famous companies, it can be a different story if you think about the current status of a company and how stable a company is based on their decisions and directions they make for the filming and gaming markets. As for Disney's case with Afternoon shows like this one where the game was based but not from the original comics, it wasn't greed that killed Disney's Marsupilami cartoon but rather bad decision making and wrong choices they made. Around that time, Disney got sued by the Belgian comic company when they claimed Disney broke a promise after they finished 13 episodes. However, the Disney wiki page about this case doesn't seem clear why but I think Disney made their version without permission and why would the animators go through the trouble with making those episodes in the first place when they should know better right? Thats why this show never got a dvd re-release. vhs tapes was sold before long time ago during its airing and even this game was localized in America! Possibly the Disney version of Marsupilami brought enough awareness to bring this game to American English even if popularity fell short at the time after the show's first and only season. Its one of a very few Genesis games based on a French comic to have a U.S. release! Not many games from Europe are this lucky with Tin Tin that used to air on Nick channel during the early 90s with Doug, Rocko, Rugrats, Ren Stimpy, and Real Monsters era, Smurfs that aired very often on CN and Boomerang during mornings and afternoons, and Spirou Im not even sure if we got any comics or tv shows from this into America as I only first discovered the Genesis game. None of those Genesis games based on those other French series ever made it to U.S. because the lack of recognition with the French characters and lack of American adaptions. Asterisk, another French comic, has a few animated films imported to the U.S. with the British dubs that made it close enough to watch in English, along with this one, Marsupilami, are the only Genesis games based on French comics released in America and I think its a real blessing for those who grow up with the Disney version who didn't see the original yet that helped bring more awareness of Marsupilami's existence in the U.S.! The real issue with the show cancelled is more like stupidity and being too desperate for adding more shows on their Disney Afternoon block at the time when there wasn't much new shows to see beside reruns of current shows such as Bonkers, Goof Troop, and Duck Tales and re-airing older shows from the 80s such as Gummi Bears and Wuzzles, its clearly no wonder we later got Gargoyles and Mighty Ducks after all those previous shows ended and the latter two are just bad because they are too dark and serious for a channel aimed for younger viewers at the time! lmao. Its also no wonder why Toon Disney couldn't live up anymore when it eventually got replaced by Disney XD that ran much longer than their former channel did but their shows were not that interesting anymore except Lilo and Stitch, House of Mouse, and sometimes reruns of older shows but we wouldn't see those later until demand for Afternoon shows increased in 2010s but still no Marsupilami because of the previously mentioned lawsuit from the Belgian company after the show was cancelled and thats what really pissed me off about it. Disney could simply reach out and ask if its ok to adapt their series if they haven't back then unless they already tried asking and the original writer before they started airing the show and they might have just went ahead to make it anyway when Disney thought they had no choice? This is also why Disney is not doing adaptions from comics or other shows anymore to avoid silly lawsuits and thats why Wreck it Ralph and Big Hero 6 happened because both films were based on a comic from another company who joined Disney (see what you should have done there, Belgian Franco company? lol) or video game companies agreed to have their game characters featured on the film (another way that the Belgian Franco company could have done with Disney by simply making a deal and agree to the other party who really wanted to adapt their comics with their own animated series). So you see, and it all comes down to this, the main issue with Disney's Marsupilami being cancelled wasn't only about greed but also poor planning and acting aggressive with competing other channels around the early 90s cartoon boom at the time. Nick and CN always had more variety with their shows while they separate their reruns with older shows on their own block called Boomerang, something Disney should have thought before instead of confusing us with Disney and Toon Disney channels when they are not on the same channel! As for the lawsuit, this might not be Disney's fault but rather the fault of the original author who should have allowed Disney to adapt their comic that could have ran longer instead of suing Disney for nothing. I bet the truth behind the lawsuit was the fact Disney was considered one of the biggest and most financial animation companies in the United States and Belgian Franco company was still stuck with their own comics around that time when a film based on their comic could have already happen by that time and thats why Disney choose to take advantage to make this series into their own because Disney already know there was no animated series or film based on Marsupilami and thats why Disney decided they should go ahead and do it but then again with the topic about "greed", thats not Disney's issue Im afraid but rather the Belgian Franco company who only wanted to robbed Disney by suing them over their adaption of their comic because the company Disney was simply "very rich" back then. Im sorry for the long message! I thought some of this info might be worth to bring up but some of it might be not accurate and only my speculations. Hope you enjoy the read though lol.

	@Ton because Disney are not doing as great than they used to and only been focusing on too much live action films instead of traditional old fashioned animation. I guess you can say 3D is the one to blame. 3D animation is too popular nowadays and as long as the demand for 3D with the filming market as well as movie theaters goes, it will only go higher and higher, replacing hand drawn animation eventually. Least in Japan they are not too greedy over there to replace their over the top anime because they never change. However, other companies like WB and Nick still makes traditional drawn animation besides 3D or live action still being the big norm for American animation. The case with Disney changing to live action garbage could mean budget issues and not just a bad decision to save cost on animation done by pen and paper like they used to many years ago. I honestly wouldn't mind if Dinsey brings back their version in 3D if there any reason they can't go back to doing animation with pen and paper anymore. I don't watch their live action adaptions because its not Disney to me and I think the company should be better off going back to their old roots from the 80s and 60s when they used to be great. So ask yourself, why would you ask that question when we rather see Disney going back to animated filming instead? would you rather see the company going bankrupt when you don't know about their financial status? Of course they needed other companies to join them to make films that Disney normally can't if they are no longer as skilled or productive than others. We must also keep in mind that Roy died around early or mid 2000s who was one of the remaining few Disney brothers from the time when Disney was doing better than today. His death might have played a part of the change with the company's focus to jump from 2d to 3d and live action. Honestly, there no greedier company than Nintendo out there. Hoarding prototypes and harassing their own consumers who are trying to show their appreciation with their dedicated masterpieces! even Nintendo cannot survive alone if not for Game Freak and Hal! Thats why Disney need others not for greed but to help the company financially to gain profit for better films because they are just not doing on their own anymore. They even regret seeing Pixar go after Finding Nemo and Cars was released. thats why Pixar returned to bring us a couple of rather disappointing Toy Story sequels but still Pixar's presence with Disney along with Lucas Films and Marvel are the main resons why Disney is still kicking today even if they are not doing as great as they were in the Disney Afternoon era from mid 90s to 2002. Lets just hope one day we might see Marsupilami from Disney in 2d or 3d animation and not another garbage live action film lol.

	@Dolphman ah yes, its the know it all genius and Im very impressed with how much you know almost every single tv show, video game, books, and other such pieces of entertainment media out there. Congratulations! but Im going to be real honest about this, Im surprised you liked the newer animated series based on the original comics than the Disney version? Its just too serious and not that funny to me. Unlike this cartoon and comic, I don't think if there was a English dub and even if there was I still wouldn't watch it unless Disney buy the franchise from that Belgian cheapskate who would not let any other company adapt it and even the reason behind the lawsuit against Disney made no sense according to the wiki. I believe this Belgian company hates Americans touching it and the likely reason Disney made this show because theres no such animated series earlier ago that time in the early 90s and also to bring more awareness since a lot of comics and cartoons from all over Europe usually don't make it to the US unless its something more popular and overrated like Tintin and Smurfs ironically they only got very few games released in the US. Another likely reason why the US don't get much out of this Belgian comic and cartoon because the original author from Belgian might be afraid that nobody outside Belgian will ever understand what type of animal he is and most highly popular mascots in the US are always very well known creatures from real life that are already known to exist or once existed as in extinction such as dinosaurs and mammoths that appear fairly often in American cartoons and comics. Since he is only fictional and not based on a real animal, that could be likely why we hardly see him localized outside of Disney's cancelled adaption. Most of us only know this character because of Disney long before we know his origin thanks to internet and possibly more episodes could be planned for a season 2 but strangely stops after episode 13, making this another short lived Disney series along with Wuzzles and Gummi Bears. So if you are wondering, the Disney that happen to be so much better than the Belgian version wasn't ended and forgotten, it was cancelled due to a lawsuit because the series doesn't belong to Disney and possibly they got sued because they made this show without the author's permission or the author didn't like it. This is why copyrights shouldn't exist and also why the Belgian author should sell it to Disney instead if hes only milking profit with his boring repetitive and very short comics but the worst case scenario would be if he can't sell it to Disney to keep the series to himself instead of letting others to freely adapt it. Might as well see a third party expert animator or a bootleg animator to continue making unauthorized episodes of the Disney adaption if we want to see more of the Disney version. Belgian comics can go kiss leopard skinned monkey butt elsewhere for their money! I'll honestly never appreciate the original and wouldn't mind if Belgian comics should just shut down for lacking sense of humor with their unappealing comics anyway lmao. by the way, Im surprised why you would call it a Bugs Bunny ripoff as I don't see any resemblance to it. It was more like another Disney Afternoon series and to cancel another one after we lost Wuzzles and Gummi Bears should be considered a real shame especially it was a awkward era for Disney before the company got better and more recognized after they released Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Lion King, and Toy Story after all the Afternoon shows miserably failed except for Ducktales, Chip n Dale, and Goof Troop that end up coming back with a new movie or tv show but as for Marsupilami, we hardly get anything from it much like the lack of Asterix, Doraemon, Lucky Luke, and few other well known mascots from overseas only popular within their native country than the US.
