Spriter Spotlight
(0)
As usual, I've got a great update for you all, so enjoy that. What's not so usual? I'm trying something new this week called "Spriter Spotlight." I'll ask a different longtime submitter each update to give a little info about themselves. Our first spotlight is on the great Yawackhary! Enjoy and let me know what you think. It could be you next time!
Take it away, Yawa!
"I first discovered tSR back when it was Ninsprites, looking at the sprite rips and custom sprites that people did on Pixeltendo. It was until 2006 that I actually decided to contribute to tSR since I wanted to move away from Sonic hoaxing. My first rip was Dr. Robotnik from Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Master System) using MEKA that was finished on September 2006 however it took until December since I realised that TSGK was closed. As for why I ripped him was because when compared to the Genesis version, Robotnik looked like his AoSTH counterpart and there were no custom sprites at the time. As for probably why I rip resources; it is because it is something to do to kill time, seeing happy faces from others when their favourite game is there and using the resources from the site, memories of my first console that is the Genesis come flooding back and for the fact that it is also like research finding unused stuff lurking in the game that can hold many secrets. It is frustrating when it doesn't go your way though.
Honestly I never thought I would continue ripping 4 years later, let alone ripping a bunch of games on various systems so I say thanks to all the members who helped. Now if only I didn't get roped in making silly videos on Youtube..."
