@Theopold This game doesn't use tilesets, the stages are 3D models. maybe you were thinking of a custom tileset such as this one that's in the Paper Mario Customs section? https://www.spriters-resource.com/custom_edited/papermariocustoms/sheet/18115/

@Proking235 I know I replaced some TTYD NPCs when i was testing compatibility between SPM and TTYD, which is probably where you saw Dimentio as an NPC. But the animations weren't ripped or converted to another format for that. Turns out character rigs in TTYD and SPM use the exact same format, so they work when ported between the games. It's still unknown how to view animations outside playing them in-game in TTYD or SPM.

@DogToon64 I wasn't saying they should be on TTR, I said they technically should be, as these are texture rips. I agree for the most part that these should be here on TSR, however, some things like Brobot and Super Dimentio would be nice to see on TMR. It would actually be very cool if they ripped the character models like ordinary Dimentio and Mario, Luigi, etc. but I doubt that's going to happen because of how weird these models work.

@Proking235 Nah, it's better for them to be here. It's easier to find, and for those that don't know that they're technically models or textures, there's a high chance they'll think these are sprites and "that someone" would probably easily find them.

Nothing in these games beyond HUD images has been a sprite since Paper Mario 64. Everything in this game should technically be on the textures resource. The way the characters are made is a bunch of flat planes clumped together with 2D images textured onto them. Models from these games can be ripped (I've seen people rip Dimentio with his full rig and animations and replace an NPC from TTYD with him) but they are such a strange type of model that it's almost better just to rip them as sprites.

For anyone that wanna extract sprites from this game with native quality without using dolphin emulator: nintendo toolbox, made by KillzXGaming, recognizes files from 'a' folder (which you have access after extracting files via dolphin)! It's a fantastic tool!

Just be sure to drag'n'drop files which names ends with '-'.

I'm not sure if the Brobot (And by extension, L-type) is a 3D model or not, would be cool if someone ripped that if it isn't.

I wonder what happened to the unused, mysterious Ladder Pixl.
Can only hope to see him in Smash Ultimate as a trophy or making a cameo in a stage.
Or something else that's way too ridiculous but i still hope to be true.

Fracktail and Wracktail are models, and the model format for this game is unfortunately not known enough to reliably rip as far as I'm aware. (also sucks for modding)

This is what we call an opinion. I like the Paper Mario RPGs a lot more than Mario & Luigi games. I like the writing more, I like the characters more, I like the gameplay mechanics more, and I like the worlds more.
If they kept making sluggish boring games like SPM where you only keep playing because of the writing, then I would quit buying them pretty quickly.

I think if Intelligent Systems didn't start using Sticker Star's standard, further Paper
Mario games would be more like this. Let's be honest, Mario & Luigi clearly deserves to be the only Mario RPG Nintendo should focus on gameplay wise. But I think what Intelligent Systems would have done is make Paper Mario the best of both worlds: 2D Platforming with RPG elements mixed in. Personally, I would have been fine with that.

I know, right? Intelligent Systems really live up to their name. I mean, I think Natasia even has an actual model due to converting a spare file or copy into a .txt file, which, gave me a line of codes that had .tga in the code with 3D at it.

They are textures. The models are in a unreadable format right now.. It's structure data with textures overlayed. Everything is controlled by code piece by piece.

I have looked into the game's coding via an IOS emulation and found a folder with "File" types with certain names possibly meaning models like "luigi_robo_head" and all that, which, obviously means Mr.L's Brobot and the L-Type.
