Fun fact: The image in the background is actually a Windows 2000 wallpaper.

@PixelCrunch Worst case scenario, there would be a loading screen if the game had so much compression and was going to take a while to decompress. The closest that I can think of are the pauses on Strider where the game has to decompress the graphics so it would load into the memory (it was actually a good port at the time and probably wouldn't had to do that if it had more cartridge space). Usually the console is fast/powerful enough so you wouldn't notice the decompression and a lot of games are compressed in their ROMs. Seems to occur more on the SNES such as Fatal Fury and Mickey Mania due to its slower processor.
Not in this case though... The Chinese developer just wanted to include it as the original PC game had a loading screen. Probably to get that "authentic" feel.

Why would there need to be Loading on a SEGA Genesis / Mega-Drive cartridge? Why would they fake it?

Ohhh, I think the loading screen is faked to trick people it's loading something.

No, I meant is it actually loading anything or is it there just to simulate it?

@beanluv no, the left sprite shows it empty, and the right shows it full. It's just the way I ripped it.

Is this supposed to be a mocked version of a loading screen?
