I agree with SomethingStupid, Smoke-The-Pyroling and MrSonicSMSSpriter: Where are the blue sphere sprites for Sonic the Hedgehog?

Can someone explain why the icon for this sheet is a sprite from Sonic & Knuckles again?

Why is one Sonic 3 and Knuckles Sonic icon look darker?

@Deno You're not the only one who'd glad to see that ugly sprite long forgotten.

Ok, I decided to put on the rotation sprite and also added the 45 degree walk and dash for super sonic since I forgot that.

Deno, I could write a full essay on why that logic is flawed, but I'll spare you the judging pain. Just put it on and note it up like the rest of them, it's no more than three minutes.

Or I put it on myself and remove the sprites not relevant to the Sonic 3 portion. Deal?

@Deno So? It's still an in-game sprite, why leave it out just because you don't like it?

@zetaman II I left that out on purpose because:
A: It's just one sprite
B: The original twister sprite kinda has more flaws than the original and doesn't really have a point. There's also that odd extra pixel on his shoe.

There's a mistake in the "twister" section. The sprite he uses on twisters has a different face from his regular standing sprite.

@Datboi - The 'Hyper Sonic Ending' is in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic gives a thumbs-up in the good ending to Sonic 3.

Hey, whoever submitted the sheet. You forgot to update the Sonic and Knuckles version of this sheet.

Nice rerip though.

@MCTravisYT - I put it down to some form of laziness in the case of the developers. I've found multiple examples of this throughout Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, but as far as those sprites are concerned, it's possible they either didn't want to or couldn't work to improve them ahead of the game's release.

(continuing onto my comment on the Sonic 2 variant of Sonic)
So they finally fixed his design for other turning sprites (there are far more than Sonic 2), but there's one of them which is just a variation of his sprites from Sonic 2 (only difference is being flipped sideways and the palette)! This now adds to the confusion of him walking sideways makes his spikes thinner while other ways they're pointed...

@Beaker McFeather It is used. Just that it only appears in the good endings.

I think the thumbs-up sprite is unused.

Can get the frames to play, what's the height and width for sonic's sprite?

Same here, I thought it was teeth. However upon closer inspection i realized it was his arms.

Oh, I guess I always assumed those were teeth...
but it's a common animation trick for fast movement, and is a real optical illusion with, say, hummingbirds.

The 2nd frame of sonic's front falling animation.
