@Sonico415797 I had to make those letters myself because when I took screenshots they were not there and I did not want the alphabet to be unfinished, there are games that do not have all the letters or all the numbers and there are many examples on this site, in this game there was no 5 either, 6, 7, 8 and 9 in the rounds because there are only four rounds, I was going to do the same but I didn't know how to do it.

@Sonico415797 Doesn't always work out that way...

It just depends on the game. It might work but if it was ripped from a tile viewer and J,Q,X,Z aren't there, then they aren't there. Many games don't even have text in the ROM to replace the message as the letters are stored by tiles or a letter is made up of tiles and usually compressed too if we're talking about SNES. Some games just don't include the entire font because either it doesn't need it, not enough room in the ROM, the letter wasn't made or hindsight. Sonic 1 title cards being infamous for this (why Clock Work Zone became Scrap Brain Zone because no W was made in the font).

Older games most of the time don't use a licensed font like they mostly do now. The graphic artists or even the programmer make their own fonts, sometimes inspired by actual fonts. They might use the system font as in the case of the home computers (Spectrum, Amstrad CPC), it might be part of the development kit like why you see a certain font used by a developer like the Capcom CPS1/Konami MSX and NES/Taito arcade/Compile or just use the Atari/Namco font.

J, Q, X and Z don't have to be custom; find a specific string of text within the rom that uses that font, and type one of those letters into that string
