@TomAndTheCats: That's only in the GBA version.

How come there's no Fall variant for the Goomba here?

@Max They weren't at the time. When this was released, these were called Goombas and the enemy from SMB was called "Little Goomba."

The japanese manual calls them Kuribon

I'm pretty sure they were still called Kuribo in the Japanese version.

EDIT: Scratch that, the roll call for the Parachute one cuts off after Kuri (Para Kuri), which they also did for the Bomhei (Para Bom).

Galoomba is just the localized name of the Kuribon, which are what these guys are called in Japan as opposed to the Kuribo. For whatever reason the initial localization didn't bother giving them a different name, so they're called Goombas even though they look different and can't be stomped.

I think that nintendo invented the name galoomba later after smw to explain why they look so different from most goombas

@Smoke I know it was a joke, but, Galoombas were called Goombas in SMW...

I don't know why either.

Added Bob-Omb's real palettes (blue / beige) despite him only using two colours of them. The previous one was a glitch palette, also it had no visual impact on the sprites.

I'm pretty sure Galoombas having yellow shoes in-game is actually an error on the programmer's part due to the programmers forgetting to change the palette when they replaced the proto Goomba graphics with the Galoomba graphics. Even the official artwork at the time had them wearing green shoes.

The video from the link doesn't work and TCRF lists the stomped Goomba sprite as part of the SNES Test Program. I also haven't seen it within the game's VRAM.

Btw, the game uses a lot of garbage when you defeat enemies which are not supposed to be beaten. Fishin' Boo turns into a part of Big Boo, Lava Bubble turns into a yellow Magikoopa head, Iggy's balls into a head part of Reznor, etc. The game uses whatever is inside the VRAM to compensate for missing sprites. This kind of stuff isn't worth to be put on the sheet.

For the Bob-Omb palettes: I just checked with vSNES in Vanilla Secret 2: Para-Bob-Ombs use the beige palette and ground Bob-Ombs the blue one. But in the end, it doesn't matter since all they use are black and white, which are both in the same spot on both palettes.

Turns out that applies to the Bob-Omb too - it turns into a pair of Lakitu cloud smiley faces.

EDIT: Oh god, it works with the in-shell Koopas too, according to this thread, and I can confirm.

Sorry yes, I mean it is a glitched graphic that is very obscure.

Also, the normal Bob-Omb uses the blue palette, and the Para-Bomb (the non-parachute part) uses the green palette. It's not visible unless you add the extra colours to the sprite, but it's true.

There is no "unused" Goomba stomped frame in SMW's ROM, unless you count glitched graphics. Pretty sure it's only graphics exist in the SNES Test Program.

I think the Goomba has an unused "stomped" sprite if you do a cape slam on top of it
