@lelabkeeton @blobbychizz I also hadn't noticed that until now. It's extremely hard to notice due to very few colors being used for the dithering. It's much more visible in stuff like merchandise. |

"Pico" also means "very small" in English, such as in "picosecond". Since the console was designed from small children, that's probably why it was called that. Actually, now that I think about it, the use of "Pico" also juxtaposes nicely with the use of "Mega" in "Mega Drive". I wonder if that was the intent... |

Fun fact: The Gratze Soldier and Commander back sprites are, as far as I have tested, completely unused! Seems like at some point they allowed you to capture them, but then they realized "oh wait, being able to straight up capture humans has unfortunate connotations" and scrapped that, but not the sprites themselves. |

I have no idea why the Tartner in-game uses the back sprite for both its front and back sprites. Good call on including a recolor of the Armor Nail's front sprite with the Tartner's palette. |

One oddity is that the Neo Bat uses the same back sprite as the Blood Bat, which is noticeably bigger than its front sprite. It also depicts it in the same color scheme as its counterpart in Lufia II, unlike its front sprite, which has an updated palette. |

Fun fact: The High Hydras' eyes are erroneously set to be transparent in-game, rather than white, meaning that this is something that this sprite sheet fixes by complete accident because of the decision to give those sprites a white background. They're the only monsters to suffer from this issue. |

Fun Fact: the non-boss clones are edited from the Guard sprites used in the FormGen Spear episodes. Possibly a jab at their iffy quality, since the clones are made of poop (not joking, it's in the manual). |

@GoodClover and QuadFactor: It's meant to represent an "ai ai gasa" as it's known in Japanese (which translates to: "love love umbrella"), your name on one side and your love's on the other with the implication that both would be together under the same umbrella. For some reason the color values are inconsistent. Red: R 255, G 0, B 0 Yeah, makes sense, entirely red. Blue: R 0, G 60, B 255 Okay, don't understand the green, but checks out otherwise. Green: R 0, G 192, B 0 Why is green only at 3/4ths intensity? Purple: R 213, G 53, B 217 What? Why are the main colors only at a little over 3/4ths intensity? Why aren't they equal? why are they odd numbers? Why is the red value lower than blue? Why does green have a value of 53? Why does green have a value in the first place? Yellow: R 255, G 255, B 0 Back to normalcy. Two values at max, one at nil. Orange: R 252, G 166, B 0 why is red at 252 and why is green 166 they're so close to being correct Cyan: R 66, G 252, B 255 I am going to cry |

This intro was in all Rayman versions (Saturn, Atari Jaguar and MS-DOS) except PS1 (EXCEPT you can see it holding R1+R2 when the PS1 logo shows up) but we know it's especifically from the Saturn version because that version had a unique Main Menu Music. To see the intro in the PS1 version, you'll have to hold R1+R2 for like a minute, becuase if you stop pressing one of those buttons even for a second, it won't work and the game will continue without showing the intro. Got it? Cool! |

Technically, that is the same sprite from the Arcade Version (i comparised side by side) but have less sprites (maybe to store memory?) and the color palette is slightly different (in the stage scenarios, this is more visible, specially in Stage 4) |
